The Conference on Fully Actuated System Theory and Applications (FASTA) is an annual academic conference hosted by the Technical Committee on Fully Actuated System Theory and Applications of the Asian Control Association/ Chinese Association of Automation, and organized by a host institution. The relevant matters for applying to host the conference are hereby announced as follows:
Application Eligibility: Universities or research institutions in China with relevant professional expertise, sufficient financial strength, and the capability to host conferences are eligible to apply.
Application Timeline: The applicant institution must submit a written application to the Technical Committee two weeks before the FASTA conference that is held one year prior to the proposed hosting year. (The application form can be downloaded from the Technical Committee's website: www.fasta.org.cn). The application should briefly describe the institution's vision and advantages for hosting the conference. The host institution for the following year will be determined by discussion at the meeting of the Technical Committee on Fully Actuated System Theory and Applications, held during the FASTA conference one year in advance.
Responsibilities of the Host Institution: The host institution, serving as the secretariat of the conference's organizing committee, is primarily responsible for all organizational aspects of the conference.
This includes:
■ Selecting the location and venue for the conference.
■ Establishing and maintaining the webpage for the current year's Conference on Fully Actuated System Theory and Applications.
■ Collecting conference registration fees and being responsible for issuing invoices.
■ Contacting and arranging accommodation, meals, and transportation for conference delegates. This includes providing clear standards for housing, offering reservation services, and assisting delegates with booking return flight or train tickets.
■ Coordinating with the Program Committee to produce the program booklet, providing necessary venue and other local information for the booklet, and being responsible for its printing.
■ Configuring the equipment to be used during the conference and ensuring its proper operation.
■ Arranging for sufficient staff during the conference to handle tasks such as delegate registration and session services, and selecting staff with good English proficiency to be responsible for receiving international guests.
■ The host institution must maintain communication with the Technical Committee on Fully Actuated System Theory and Applications, cooperating to successfully manage all tasks before and after the conference.
Use of Funds:
■ Conference registration fees are to be used by the host institution.
■ Publication fees are to be used by the Technical Committee for the editing and publication of the conference proceedings and program booklet, as well as for conference preparation work.
■ The rates for conference fees and publication fees will be negotiated between the Technical Committee and the host institution based on the specific circumstances of that year.
■ The host institution may seek sponsorship from relevant enterprises; sponsorship funds are to be used by the host institution.
■ The host institution is responsible for the conference fees and local accommodation and meals for keynote speakers and invited delegates. All other related matters will be resolved through negotiation between the Technical Committee and the host institution.
The right to interpret the above bidding procedure belongs to the Technical Committee on Fully Actuated System Theory and Applications of the Asian Control Association/Chinese Association of Automation.
